How did I think of "Stair Steps to Heaven"?

Traveling between Texarkana Texas and Nashville Tennessee on an absolutely beautiful day, pure white clouds scattered throughout the dark blue sky, gave me a feeling of contentment and peace.It’s a feeling we don’t often get in this high-speed everything lifestyle we have adopted. As I was traveling east I noticed the clouds thickening, they slowly begin to build one upon the other. I slowed a bit to watch what was taking place. As I observed nature in action, she seemed to be forming pure white steps.But steps to where?

1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Stair Steps To Heaven

I called to him though the mist of morn
my call was humble, somewhat forlorn.
He heard my call and provided me
with Stair Steps To heaven that I could see.

The steps were laid one next to the other
in an azure sky wherein they did hover.
The steps were as white as the driven snow
rising to Heaven from down here below.

The steps were laced on the edges with gold
with flashes of silver and beauty untold.
Sun rays painted them with marvelous hues
the wonders of Heaven were open to view.

I wanted to climb those incredible steps
to Heaven at last where I could find rest
but the Lord said no I'm not ready just yet
I want to hold your hand for a bit.

Remember in your dreams and your everyday living
the Stair Steps To Heaven are mine for the giving.
