Three words God brings
together in a new book!

Why Inspiration? Why become inspired? Why live a life of joy? Why
help others to become more than they presently
are? Why help others to grow and see the bountiful
life which we can all experience?  My question is
Why Not?  Why should we slumber when we can
be enjoying what God has supplied? Why should
we give up our birthright through negative thinking,
negative acts, unworthy life style, lack of motivation
and lack of inspiration?

There surely has to be something more than a hum-drum
life, and to obtain that, inspiration needs to be a part of it.
Oh I admit most people base their happiness on
their income, their inspiration on the size of their
pay check, their get up and go on the amount of
goodies they own, their friendships on, mine is better,
mine is bigger, or mine cost more.

Is that really a life, is that really living life to the
fullest, is that really taking out of life what it
has to offer, is it really fulfilling, does it keep us
happy day to day or even hour to hour, is it what
keeps the fuel burning in our soul to become, to
do, to excel, to keep on keeping on when all seems
futile.  Is it what God expects of us, or even more
importantly what God will accept of us?

Are we so naive as to believe that we can
idly sit by and everything will be OK, that everything
will come to us, that we can continue to complain
about everything in this life and expect it to all
come out just fine. That is the outcome when we
have little or no inspiration in our lives.

I do not think we can live a very happy fulfilling
life without inspiration, so, hello.....out there.....

Can't you hear the small quiet
voices inside that keeps telling you there is more,
there is not only more but much more. I am
not speaking of money, or of what money can buy,
what I am speaking of is what money cannot buy.
And it is not available without inspiration in your
life. I am speaking of happiness, love, understanding
compassion, helpfulness, joy. Yes, all of those
things which give us a true meaning of life.

Are they hard to acquire, are they difficult to
find, are they worth the effort, should they
become first in our life, and if so what happens
when we put them first.   Will we have enough
to eat, enough to wear, enough to ...........you
fill in the blanks.

Matthew 6:25
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought
for your life, what ye shall eat, or what
you shall drink; nor yet for your body,
what ye shall put on. Is not the life more
than meat, and the body more than raiment?

As I look around me at the people whom
I have come in contact with over my lifetime
I find a situation that seems to be in opposition
to what people are really looking for.

I find the harder they chase money, the more
difficult their lives becomes, I find the more money
they accumulate the more confusing their lives
are, I find the more wealthy they are the
more their lives are filled with worry and concern.
I find the more they own, the more they want
because what they now have leaves them with
an emptiness which they believe more accumulation of things
can fill.

Its strange, isn't it, one would think, at least
on the surface, that the opposite would be
true. The more we have the happier we should
be, but I have found over a lifetime of living,
that is not the way it is.  Now I know some
would say, ignorance is bliss, if you never know
how good money can make you feel, you can't
miss it. Maybe that is true, but their actions
don't measure up to their words.

Oh I do agree, on the surface they seem to
be really enjoying life, but when you have an
opportunity to get under their skin, so to speak,
you will find quite a different set of circumstances.
When you have an opportunity to visit them in their
worst days, when they are mentally tired, or when
their bodies have given out, or when their lives are
full of depression or desperation, one hears a totally
different story. They need inspiration to lift themselves
above what is happening.

Underneath the surface, That is where the heat is, that is
where the uneasiness is, that is where the battle takes
place continuously, that is where all of the turmoil takes
place. Underneath is where all of the struggle is, the
struggle between what they want, and what they know
is right. and it is unfortunate in so many cases, what we
want and what we know to be right are diametrically
opposed. The cry to have is a resounding roar,
and the cry to become is barely a whisper.

So many cases point toward making the choices on a
feel good decision mechanism. It's got to be right
it makes me feel good. It must be OK because others
are doing it also, I have to go along with the majority
because they all can't be wrong. People will respect
me more if I have a lot of things. People won't like
me if I don't have lots of goodies.

You are probably right, at least I have found that
to be true, people don't respect those with little,
or those of little means. That may have been
some of the reasons Jesus was so despised,
he had nothing, no home, no money, not much
of a job when he was growing up.   And the upper
crust despised him so much they murdered him.
Perhaps that is one of the penalties we may face
if we are poor, and choose to work for God,
but we need to look further.

We need to ask ourselves some serious questions,
Where is Jesus now? How long did Jesus suffer
under the hands of his persecutors? How long is
eternity? How long will we live in comparison to
eternity? How long must we suffer in this life to
gain entrance into the home God has prepared
for us and promised us?

John 14:2
In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.I go to prepare a place for you.

And a final question. Is the reward worth the effort?

When you are touched by Jesus you will automatically
become inspired, you will automatically want to
become more than you presently are, you will
have a new outlook on life, things that were barren
are now full of life, things that seemed dreary are
now up-lifting, the dirt of life has now become a
garden of beauty, the negatives of life become
opportunities for service. God has great plans for
you and nothing and no one can deter you from
your appointed rounds.
