Mother's Day

Morning, a time to respond to Gods call.

Morning

The early morning is the best time of day. Just before dawn you can set
in quiet solitude. You rarely hear a sound, mist is rising from the ground,
slowly the sky in the east begins to brighten with the soft rays of the
sun.

God has provided us another day in which to work, love, live, laugh
and worship Him. Its a time to examine our inner thoughts, our feelings,
the way we react to others, how we express our feelings. Are we
fulfilling our Fathers wishes, his commands?

Are we as good as we can be, are we proud of all we say and think.
Are we really the person we expose to others, or do we harbor thoughts
and feelings we ought not to harbor.

If we remain quiet, and listen intently in that time just before the rising
of the sun, we can hear his voice, that voice that continually
speaks to us, that encourages us to be better than we presently are.

The Poem

The morning sun is slow to rise
as it creeps across the hazy skies
The newborn rose just kissed by dew
opens its petals for a better view.

The birds begin their early song
after resting the whole night long
The tall grass's sway in the morning breeze
reminding me of the open seas.

A hawk sails lazily in the sky above
answering the call of a mother's love
The bubbling brook with its waters clear
awakens my soul so that I can hear.

I listen intently for the voice I know,
it speaks to me like the soft falling snow
Gently so gently on my ear it falls,
gently so gently I hear it call.

Open your eyes so that you may see the
marvelous wonders that were given by me.
Given to you so that you may come
to the Heavenly Father on the morning sun.
